THTC – Chant Down Babylon Hemp Tee
‘Chant Down Babylon’ is one of many works commissioned by THTC. The original Mau Mau artwork draws on themes of Rastafarianism, reggae culture and the legend that is Bob Marley. ‘Chant Down Babylon’ is from the 1983 album ‘Confrontation’ by Bob Marley & The Wailers and is regularly used by reggae artists worldwide today.

THTC hemp comes from their production partners in China, who they work with directly. They are small, family-run factories, involved in finishing organic hemp fabric products, one of which THTC has been working with for 20 years. They are paid well above the living wage for their region of China, work 8-hour days, and receive paid holidays.
THTC have always visited the factories regularly check on the conditions and the welfare of the workers themselves.
